Punch and Die Anatomies

Sometimes we need to work with you to determine the type of tooling that your machine should take. Here are some pictures to help you understand the info we need to know to help you get the best tooling for your projects! You will probably need to identify the head diameter, body diameter and overall length of the punch and the outside diameter and height of the die. These measurements will allow us to determine the style of punch and die that your machine requires.

Cleveland Punch and Die attended the Maplewood Career Center Career Night on Thursday November 19th. In the past we have had success working with the students in the Applied Engineering and Machining program that Maplewood offers to juniors and seniors from high schools in the surrounding areas. At Career Night we showed the students our advanced computer and robotics applications.

I've been the Sales Manager at Cleveland Punch and Die for the last 10 years and I take pride in sharing our years of experience and knowledge with our valued customers. Meet the "Green Team" - Mike "The Punch Doctor" Koporc

Mike is our Senior Sales Engineer at the Cleveland Punch and Die Company with over 30 years of punch and die knowledge. He is a proud graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mike thrives on assisting customers with the basic punching questions to the most complicated and technical applications in the industry. Proper Tool Alignment

When punching a shaped hole (oblong, square, hexagon, etc.) we recommend having keyways and notches cut into your punches and dies. Once you get the shape on the punch and die aligned, these will lock your punch and die into place. Using the keyways and notches will extend your tooling life and make a safer work environment. Hannah is a member of our International Customer Service Team.  She graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in International Business with Spanish Language and Latin American Culture.  Additionally she studied abroad at La Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru.  She is happy to assist with any tooling questions, quotes or orders. 

Meet The "Green Team" - Rodrigo Brodie

Rodrigo Brodie is the International Sales Manager at Cleveland Punch and Die. Rodrigo is a finance graduate from John Carroll University who is fluent in five languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. He has spent time in Madrid, Barcelona and the Dominican Republic and has traveled to trade shows in Mexico, Canada and Dubai. Rodrigo is able to meet international customers’ needs through his understanding of local business culture.
